Make a Deer Plaque

I made this plaque to add to the collage of wall art over my sons crib. I love how it turned
out and wanted to share it with you. It's very inexpensive and super fast to mimic!

MATERIALS:
• 7X9 INCH WOOD PLAQUE (I FOUND THIS ONE AT MY LOCAL CRAFT STORE) • SMALL BOTTLE OF
ACRYLIC PAINT (ALSO FROM LOCAL CRAFT STORE) • PAINT BRUSH • STICKY BACK VELCRO • DECAL
FROM TASTY SUITE IN COLOR OF YOUR CHOICE (FOUND HERE)

STEP 1
PAINT PLAQUE. IT TOOK ME 2 COATS TO GET THE COLOR FULLY OPAQUE. I CHOSE NOT TO PAINT THE
BACK BECAUSE I'M IMPATIENT AND WANTED IT ON THE WALL ASAP. BUT IF YOU HAVE IT IN YOU...
BY ALL MEANS, PAINT THE BACK!

STEP 2
AFTER YOUR PLAQUE HAS DRIED, FOLLOW THE DECAL INSTRUCTIONS TO APPLY THE IMAGE TO
THE PLAQUE. JUST BE SURE THE PAINT IS FULLY DRY!

STEP 3
I CHOSE TO USE SQUARE STICKY VELCRO PIECES TO ATTACH THIS (VERY LIGHT WEIGHT) PLAQUE.
IF YOURS IS HEAVIER OR YOUR CONCERNED WITH IT FALLING A MORE DURABLE OPTION
WOULD BE TO ATTACH SOME HANGING HARDWARE.  (FYI: MINE HAS BEEN HANGING FOR 6 MONTHS
AND IT HASN'T FALLEN YET)

THAT'S IT! THE COLOR OPTIONS FOR THE PLAQUE AND DECAL ARE ENDLESS.
HAVE FUN AND DON'T FORGET TO SHARE WITH ME HOW IT WENT!
